despite coming to this country with 2 rainjackets, one of which actually keeps me and/or my computer bag dry - i've been known to zip the jacket around the bag - i bought an umbrella yesterday. it just makes sense in this country, in this part of the world. practical and fun. it doubles as a short cane. and i get to spin it around. and it's red. a power adventurer color. i pop it out - that may never get old...well, up until the pop out aspect of the umbrella ceases to work, as we build things with a small time of usefulness in this world - and i'm ready to face a rain storm, a lightening storm, streets that flow like rivers and rivers that feed the ocean i'll be living on in 2 days.
