i have been labeling book writing as hard. and tv watching as easy. i probably will continue to do so, especially if i continue to have an abode in a lil 2nd floor hostel room equipped with hbo that's broadcast in english with subtitles, so i can learn a thing or two about this countries language.
i had ignored the tv my 1st 3 weeks or so to the point i barely recognized it was there. now it may as well be the centerpiece.
there's enough trash in my book that i have entertained the idea of trashing it a couple times. there's enough gems either in it or in its purpose, that i continue to plug away, crossing out line after line and looking skyward for a better word or phrase or sound or decision to scrap or not.
it's nice to know, as i watch one person sell bananas and another getting drunk and another just hanging out, that i can be hanging out, getting drunk, and eating bananas, all while continuing the process of writing this book, wherever i am.
sure, it goes slow. occasionally i stress about how slow it goes. and occasionally i get myself to chill out. now, thanks to guidance of the people i've been working with, i can get myself to chill out in spanish. how¿
tengo paz. it literally translates into - i've got peace. in usage, what it's saying is - slow the fuck down man, it's all good, shit's covered, and there's no need to rush.
so, back to bullshitting on the internet before i tackle some more book time. or, in other words, tengo paz, fuckers.
